My name is Rachel Felton and I was born and raised in Chattanooga, Tennessee. Chattanooga has been a huge part of who I am. Growing up, I went to an all girls private school. A lot of times people ask me, “How could you survive at an all girls high school?” but honestly it was the best thing that could have ever happened to me. I never had the teenage drama involving boys which allowed me to make some of the best girlfriends of my life. I was blessed with a great childhood.
I was also very fortunate to have a great family. My mother is currently a nurse and my father is a lawyer. I also have an older brother and an older sister. My brother goes to the university of Tennessee and is studying to be a engineer. My sister got her undergrad at Rice University and is currently getting her MBA there. She was recently offered a job at Goldman Sachs and I am super excited for her!
I am currently at the University of Alabama and will graduate in May 2016 with a degree in business marketing and a minor in computer applications and technology. The marketing classes I have taken at the University of Alabama include marketing research, marketing sales, marketing supply chain, world marketing, and more. Also, for my minor in computer applications and technology I have taken classes working in excel, web design, spreadsheets, data, and more. I have always had a passion for these two subjects and I am excited to see how taking these courses will benefit me in the future.
I am also extremely involved with Girl Scouts of America and have been my entire life. I completed girl scouts all the way up to a senior, which is one of the highest honors. I will discuss more of my girl scout experiences throughout my blog. I hope you reading my blog and learning a little bit more about me and my passions!
